Political Social Media Marketing
No field or sector has escaped the influence of social media. It wouldn't be inaccurate to argue that social media has entwined its tentacles with every aspect of our daily lives, including buying, eating, advertising, and everything in between. In addition, social media marketing has developed into a go-to channel for connecting with customers, raising awareness of their existence, building connections, and generating revenue for both businesses and individuals. Having said that, could any of us have foreseen its obscene popularity and political impact? We, as an Indian firm providing digital marketing services, never imagined that political parties would embrace social media with such fervour.
However, 2014 saw the formal introduction of social media into Indian politics, which led to very high rates of voter registration and election turnout. Social media will undoubtedly be "the weapon" for political parties to connect with their constituents during this year's elections.
Every person has the ability to establish their brand on social media. Politicians are also subject to that. Therefore, just like any business that boasts a sizable following and level of engagement, politicians must endeavour to develop a genuine relationship with their followers. The purpose of starting early is to basically acquaint and strengthen one's political rhetoric, even before it is officially announced that one is running for a position. This message must be in line with one's political and personal goals; it must be properly communicated in every tweet, Facebook post, and YouTube video that is uploaded.
